Reckless driver causes a hazardous collision
An erratic driver cuts off a truck carrying hazardous materials causing a collision that overturns the trailer. Liquid begins spilling onto the road. Telecommunicators, inundated with calls, quickly pinpoint the location of the incident and receive video and images from callers to support the response. Police, fire, emergency services and hazmat crews are dispatched.

The emergency operations centre gets eyes on scene
The emergency operations centre is activated. A hazmat response plan is put into motion and a drone is sent to the collision. An analyst in the control room also joins the incident response. They view live drone and street camera video feeds to assess the situation. A mass notification is sent to nearby residents, based on a geofence, warning of the hazmat situation and advising caution.

First responders en route to the scene receive continuous updates. Upon arrival, mobile number plate recognition cameras confirm the erratic driver’s vehicle that caused the accident was stolen. The hot hit alert is also seen by the telecommunicator and control room analyst. The officers apprehend the driver while medical treatment is administered to others involved in the collision.
